Classic Road Legends 2.0 Collection by Mindy Eggen | Route 66 Inspired Cardmaking

Welcome, crafty friends! This is Mindy Eggen, and I’m so excited to introduce Classic Road Legends 2.0! This collection is a continuation of the original Classic Road Legends released in 2025. Since that release, I’ve heard so much wonderful feedback from all of you, and many of you couldn’t wait to see what was coming next. Not only is this collection personal to me because of the nostalgic memories it brings of my dad & family growing up, but I’ve also loved hearing how much these cars mean to all of you. The stories you’ve shared have truly touched my heart, and I’m so happy this collection has connected with so many people.

Classic Road Legends 2.0 takes us on the road with a Route 66 theme. While I haven’t had the chance to experience Route 66 myself, it’s definitely on my bucket list! The Hot Rod Flames car was actually part of the original brainstorming session for the first collection, and I’m thrilled to finally bring it to life.

The flame details completely steal the show—and they should! You can create amazing dimension by ink blending the layers or using coordinating shades of cardstock. Sedan Street Cruiser

The Sedan Street Cruiser was inspired by classic movie cars. I wanted something to balance the bold Hot Rod Flames design with a more casual, everyday vibe. Both cars fit beautifully on an A2 card front and are especially suited for landscape layouts, though with a little trimming they can work in portrait designs as well.

Highway Horizons – Desert

Classic Road Legends and Classic Road Legends 2.0 pair perfectly with the new Highway Horizons – Desert stencil set. Create dramatic nighttime scenes with moody color palettes or capture the bright blue skies of the Southwest. I’m here for all the ink blending ! The set includes five layering stencils that come together to create a full A2 landscape background.

Road Trip Adventures Sentiments

To tie the collection together, I designed a new sentiment set called Road Trip Adventures Sentiments. Just like the original sentiment set, I wanted these greetings to appeal to all ages. Since we’re traveling along Route 66, I included a mix of travel-themed and pun-filled sentiments that work beautifully on cards, scrapbook layouts, travel journals, and postcard-inspired projects. They can be stamped repeatedly for backgrounds or die-cut for eye-catching focal points.
