Cute Critter Card Ideas with the Simon Hurley Sending Hugs Collection by Spellbinders
Hello, friends! This is Jingle (Jennifer Ingle) with you today, and I am so excited to be sharing the latest collection from Simon Hurley and Spellbinders Sending Hugs! This collection is full of super cute critters ready to give out ALL of the hugs.
Can you EVEN with these cuties? I paired them with the Puffy Hearts embossing folder, which I was able to use for three different background looks!
For my first card in this collection, I chose to create the Birthday Bear as a panda. The set is really fantastic, as it offers a few options so you can make the most of it, getting different designs out of the same set of dies!
The background for this one uses the Puffy Hearts 3-D embossing folder combined with the Puffy Hearts stencils for a bright and colorful look that is the perfect backdrop for a black and white bear.
These critters had me so excited, I just had to make them ALL! With that in mind, I decided to use all three of the critter sets for my next card. I created a cat, a dog, and a sweet brown bear for this one, and it is just too much fun!
The Puffy Hearts over the full design make a nice subtle background, and I cut the hearts from the Darling Dog set to add a splash of love across the card. The sentiment on this one is extra fun! I used the dies in the set to cut out Happy Birthday and then simply ‘borrowed’ the H and the I for a custom sentiment that suited my card perfectly! The extra accents in these sets are also super fun. I simply could not resist putting that cute martini in Cat’s hand!
And finally, I created a nice and simple design as my third design. I created the dog from Darling Dog again, this time, skipping the beard, adding a collar, and changing up his face a bit, too! I used the Puffy Hearts 3-D embossing folder on a portion of my background and added the dog to the bottom to ground him.
This collection has 100% hit my favorites list immediately! I cannot get enough of how adorable these turn out every single time! Choose your favorite or pick up the whole collection - you will NOT be disappointed!

Today, I’m sharing a Christmas step-by-step card tutorial featuring the Polar Friends Stamp and Die Set by Simon Hurley. This card was inspired by the Christmas advertisements I remember seeing on television when I was a child in the 1990s. They often featured polar bears surrounded by...
