Exclusive Indie Collection Inspiration | Layered Foliage with Keeway

Hello again! This is Keeway Tsao and I’m back again to share one last project featuring the Exclusive Indie Line. Sometimes I get a little too carried away with my projects, so I decided to go with a clean and simple card today. I started by die cutting the leaves from the Layered Foliage dies out of various green card stock. I lacked a middle color, so I used Peeled Paint distress oxide ink blending to help me out. I adhered these layers together and set them aside.

Next, I reached for the Happy Expressions stamp and die set. I die cut the word ‘happy’ out of white card stock and the outline layer out of vellum card stock. Vellum adds a nice soft look and while helping the word stand out in front of a busy background.

I had the idea that in lieu of an actual flower, my sentiment would essentially be the flower and the leaves would grow out of it. To bring the focal point in, I blended a radial pink center with Candied Apple, Worn Lipstick, and Tattered Rose distress oxide inks. After I heat set it, I took a large rose stencil and blended on white pigment ink.

Next, I began to assemble the card together, adhering the leaves to the card, and then the ‘happy’ right above it. I heat embossed the ‘for you’ sentiment in gold onto white card stock and trimmed it down and adhered it just below the ‘happy’.
