If you’ve been waiting for the Hot Foil System to come back in stock, now is the time to grab yours. Sit back and take a few tips and tricks in this glimmer hot foil tutorial. Are you new to the  Glimmer Hot Foil System ? The Glimmer is easy to use. Just heat the platform & chosen plate, create your foiling sandwich, and then run the platform through your die cutting machine. Foiled elements can be added to various materials, such as cardstock, fabric, ribbon, leather, and more. In today’s glimmer hot foil tutorial, Kim uses three different types of paper that Glimmer beautifully - Color Splash Watercolor Sheets (discontinued - try foiling on any other watercolor paper!), Glimmer Specialty Cardstock ,  and  Glimmer Specialty Clear Film Sheets . Kim starts out her first card with watercolor paper. Watch the video to see Kim go through the process to foil the beautiful Glimmer plate with traditional gold foil. You’ll love the deep impression created in this heavy watercolor paper.

Next up, Kim creates with the  Glimmer Specialty Cardstock , specifically made for hot foiling. This synthetic paper reacts to the heat and embeds into the cardstock, leaving a perfect Glimmer image, without under-foiling or over-foiling. Last, Kim creates with  Glimmer Specialty Clear Film Sheets . These heat-resistant acetate sheets are beautiful for layering foiled images over patterned papers, and inked cardstock.
