Happier Hour Collection With Brenda Noelke

Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda Noelke here from My PaperCut Creations! I’m thrilled to be a guest on the Spellbinders blog today! I’m sharing three cards featuring the Happier Hour Collection with you today! We are traveling to Mexico in December, so the Sip Sip Ole’ Etched Die Set really spoke to me! S5-724, BP-337, S5-721, BP-326, S5-725, BP-338, E3D-157

HERE’S TO GOOD TIMES AND GREAT FRIENDS

S5-724, BP-337, S5-721, BP-326, S5-725, BP-338, E3D-157 I began by die-cutting the element for my focal point using the Sip Sip Ole’ Die Set. For the outline of the glass, I used matte silver cardstock from the Treasured Antique Silver cardstock pack, and for the salt, I used the glitter cardstock from the same pack. The colors of Color Wheel cardstock that I used for the rest of the die-cuts: Peridot, Rainforest, Fern, Tutu, Wildberry, Seaside, Teal Topaz, Blue Spruce, Saffron, Beeswax, Fog, and Classic White. I adhered all the individual elements together using liquid glue. S5-724, BP-337, S5-721, BP-326, S5-725, BP-338, E3D-157 For the background, I used the Linear Touch Rectangles and Tags Die Set. I love all the options with this die set!! You can create frames or die-cut each individually and layer them!! The third largest die in the set was cut from Seaside cardstock, the second largest from white, and the largest die from Blue Spruce. They were stacked and adhered together using liquid glue. The margarita and accessories were adhered with a combination of liquid glue and foam squares. S5-724, BP-337, S5-721, BP-326, S5-725, BP-338, E3D-157 The sentiment, from the Sip Sip Ole’ Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set, was pressed onto white cardstock with black pigment ink using the BetterPress System. Once dry, it was cut out with the die and adhered with a combination of thin foam squares and liquid glue. Gems from the Crystal Mix Color Essentials Gems Pack finish off the card.

CHEERS TO SPRINKLES, WRINKLES & TINKLES

S5-724, BP-337, S5-721, BP-326, S5-725, BP-338, E3D-157 My second card features the Martini Mood BetterPress Plate & Die Set. Doesn’t this sentiment make you giggle?!? LOVE it!! The image was pressed onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink and the BetterPress, colored with Copic markers, then cut out with the die. S5-724, BP-337, S5-721, BP-326, S5-725, BP-338, E3D-157 I used the same dies from the Linear Touch Rectangles and Tags Die Set to create the background. This time, they were die-cut from Seaside, Tutu, and Classic White cardstock. I also die-cut the fourth largest die from vellum and splattered it with white bleed-proof ink. Once dry, they were layered and adhered together, and the martini was adhered with liquid glue. S5-724, BP-337, S5-721, BP-326, S5-725, BP-338, E3D-157 The sentiment is from the same set. It was pressed onto white cardstock with black pigment ink using the BetterPress System, cut out with the die, and popped up with foam squares. Several Pink Color Essential Gems finish this one off.

HAVE THE SWEETEST BIRTHDAY

S5-724, BP-337, S5-721, BP-326, S5-725, BP-338, E3D-157 This card was created with the Fountain Wishes Etched Die Set, along with the strawberry and flower dies from the Sip Sip Ole’ Die Set, and a sentiment from the Fountain Wishes Sentiments BetterPress Plate and Die Set. All the elements for the focal point were cut from Blush, Tutu, Pomegranate, Truffle, Fawn, Alabaster, Rainforest, Beeswax, Fog, Classic White, and matte silver cardstock. All the pieces were adhered together using liquid glue. S5-724, BP-337, S5-721, BP-326, S5-725, BP-338, E3D-157 For the background on this one, I die-cut a panel of Alabaster cardstock with the second largest die in the Linear Touch Rectangles and Tags Die Set and embossed it with the Waffle Cone 3D Embossing Folder. I blended a bit of Tea Dye Distress Ink onto the center with a large blending brush and faded the color toward the outside of the panel. I trimmed a panel of white cardstock slightly larger and die-cut a panel of Teal Topaz cardstock with the largest die in the Linear Touch Rectangles and Tags Die Set, then stacked and adhered them all together with liquid glue. All the sundae die-cuts were arranged and adhered with liquid glue, as well. S5-724, BP-337, S5-721, BP-326, S5-725, BP-338, E3D-157 The sentiment, from the Fountain Wishes Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set, was pressed onto white cardstock with aqua dye ink and the BetterPress. It was cut out with the die, then adhered with a combination of thin foam squares and liquid glue. A sprinkling of Pink Color Essential Gems adds a bit of sparkle and completes this card.
