Inspiration with Susan's Garden Club Collection with Andrea Shell

Hello!  It's Andrea Shell back with you sharing three projects created with the gorgeous Susan's Garden Club Collection.  For all of my projects, I followed Susan's method of coloring (with Copics) and shaping the flowers as demonstrated in her videos on the Spellbinders YouTube channel.  I die cut all of the flowers from Susan's Specialty Cardstock and used her Ultimate Tool Kit to shape the flowers.

For my first card, I combined the cute rainboots from the Oriental Lilies and Wellies Dies with the flowers from the Gladiolus and Berry Picking Basket Dies.  When my daughter was little, she had a pair of pink, polka dot rainboots, so I patterned these boots off hers.  I cut the boots from white, light pink, and dark pink cardstocks as well as polka dot paper.  I trimmed the soles and cuffs from the light pink pair and glued it to the polka dot pair, which I layered over the white ones for stability.  I backed the boots with foam tape and inlaid the dark pink negative inside the boots.  I added dimension with my Copics.

I trimmed a 5" x 7" panel of white cardstock and foiled a sentiment from the Effortless Sentiments Glimmer Plate & Die Set with Matte Gold Glimmer Foil.  I blended the panel with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide and adhered it to a white card.

I adhered the floral die cuts to my card with liquid adhesive and popped up the boots with foam squares.  I finished with a scattering of gold confetti and organza ribbon.

My second card is a birthday card I made for my mom.  She collects tea pots, and we both plant red geraniums every year.  I cut that beautiful tea pot and lid from floral patterned paper with the Hybrid Tea Rose and Tea Pot Dies (I can't wait to create some of those beautiful roses, too!).  I layered it onto a teapot cut from white cardstock and added a bit of blue ink to the edges for dimension.

I created a 5 1/2" square card from white cardstock.  I trimmed some patterned paper from my stash to slightly smaller, distressed the edges, and adhered it to the card.  I diecut pink cardstock with a retired, Spellbinders circle die and attached it to my card.  I affixed the tea pot with foam and tucked the lid behind it.

I adhered the geranium elements to my card and added tiny sprinkles to the centers of each flower.  I heat-embossed a sentiment from the Darling Bouquet set onto white cardstock and diecut it with the Essential Labels Dies.  I punched a hole into one end of the label, strung a bit of white twine through it, and attached it to my card with a foam square.  I added a pink clay heart to the tag to finish the card.

My final project was inspired by the dahlias from the Cactus Dahlia and Ornamental Garden Pottery Dies.  The flowers reminded me of pom pom bows used to decorate gifts.

I created the box with a retired, Spellbinders die.  Before assembling the box, I foiled it with Mini Rainbow Stripe Glimmer Foil and the Celestial Star Background Glimmer Plate.

To make my "bow" a bit fuller, I diecut two additional layers of the largest dahlia pieces.  After coloring, shaping and assembling the "bow", I attached it to the box with a glue dot.
