Jane Davenport Artomology | You Are Unique Mixed Media Card with Flóra Mónika Farkas

Hi Ladies! It’s Flóra Mónika Farkas back on Spellbinders Blog. In today’s post I will feature the stunning Mermaids Washi Sheets from Jane Davenport Artomology collection. Both sheets are incredibly beautiful. They remind me of fairy tale books. Actually this gave me an idea to create a little undersea world scene on my card.

I cut out an A2 size piece from one of the Mermaids Washi Sheets and adhered on a white cardstock. I fussy cut out a gorgeous mermaid and jelly fishes, then added them on cardstock and turned them into die cuts. I like to leave a thin margin around the cut out images. With this little trick the elements will pop out. I used the You are Unique Etched Dies for the title. After I cut out the phrase with Deep Sea Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, I heat embossed it with the gold. I added the same gold around the card edges by inking it with embossing ink.

The magical underwater design is truly fantastic. I could never pain anything like this on my own but using Jane’s washi sheets and stickers I am also able to have and create with the artsy mermaids.
