Hello, it’s Carol Hintermeier here today. I’m thrilled to be back on Spellbinders blog to share my notecard set that features those adorable mice in the House Mouse Sweet Moments Collection. I love how each of these mice have names and their own little personality!
These were quick to make with easy and simple coloring. The shading the artist added into the stamped images will enhance even the simplest coloring!
Keeping a similar design for each card makes it look like a set. I think this would make a sweet gift to share with a friend or loved one! Of course, I may just keep these for myself, haha!
Each of the cards are colored with Copic Markers after stamping with an alcohol marker safe black ink. The finished images were all die cut with a rectangle die from the Hemstitch Rectangles die set. (I had thought to use the decorative hemstitch die but decided against it.)
Each colored panel is matted with a black cardstock layer that measures 4-1/2” x 3-1/4”. The folded notecard is a piece of white cardstock cut to 4-7/8” x 7-1/4” and scored at 3-5/8”.
This first card of the set features the Cheers stamp set with Mudpie, the mouse. Tip: After I die-cut the colored panel with the Hemstitch Rectangle die, I saw that the stamped image at the top left corner did not go to the edge of the die cut! No worries though! I just used a fine-tip black pen to draw the lines to the edge, adding some dots to imitate the original stamp.
I chose one of the three sentiments in the Cheers stamp and stamped it with black pigment ink. Then I trimmed it with my scissors and used foam tape strips to adhere it to the card.
This card features the so-sweet Wishing For Spring set and I created a snowy scene for this notecard. The image reminds me of the daffodils that push up in the late winter and still survive even in the freezes and cold! If that’s not a metaphor for “hope” I don’t know what else would be!
I wanted to add white splatters to the card but didn’t want Muzzy, the mouse, to have too much snow on him. So, I stamped the image again onto masking paper and trimmed around the mouse’s body. Then I diluted Splatter White opaque watercolor with some water and used a paintbrush to add the snowy splatters.
When the watercolor splatters were dry, I stamped the sentiment onto the card with black pigment ink.
This third card of the set is a sweet get-well card using the Squeaky Voice stamp set with Amanda and Monica. I kept the background clean to bring focus to the sentiment. I added a few red clay hearts to add to the sweetness of the image.

I love the House Mouse stamps and seeing how Carol Hintermeier has colored and used the House Mouse Sweet Moments Collection. Their little faces and personalities are so sweet. My mom used to have a collection of miniature mice with the same cute charm. How could you not want these adorable stamps?
