Sail Into Summer with the Fair Winds Collection by Dawn Woleslagle

Hello Crafters! It’s Melody Rupple here and I'm excited to be on the blog today to share a few cards I have created with the new Fair Winds Collection by Dawn Woleslagle. Sail Into Summer with the Fair Winds Collection by Dawn Woleslagle, S4-1343, S2-400, S5-633, STN-088 The Fair Winds Collection includes five new products, including three scene-building die sets, the perfect sentiment set with coordinating dies, and a beautiful stencil. So let’s get started. Sail Into Summer with the Fair Winds Collection by Dawn Woleslagle, S4-1343, STN-088 Let’s start with taking a look at the Uncharted Waters Layering Stencil. This is a set of 6 different layering stencils that create a seaside scene. You can use all six stencils layered together to make an ocean with a rocky shore and a sky full of gulls or use individual parts to create a shoreline or a cloud-filled sky. Sail Into Summer with the Fair Winds Collection by Dawn Woleslagle, S4-1343, STN-088 I added the lighthouse, rocks, and additional seagulls with the Guiding Light Etched Dies. This is a set of 12 dies and I love all the details on the lighthouse. I also added a few extra clouds with the Set Sail Etched Dies. The three die sets in the Fair Winds Collection work well together. I finished off the card with a sentiment included in the Fair Winds Sentiments Clear Stamp and Die Set. Sail Into Summer with the Fair Winds Collection by Dawn Woleslagle, S5-633 Next up is a closer look at the Set Sail Etched Dies. This set includes all the dies for the sailboat, the waves, and the clouds. You can also use the cloud dies to add the green hills as I did on my card. Sail Into Summer with the Fair Winds Collection by Dawn Woleslagle, S5-633 I added glitter to the white foam on the waves and a few Crystal Mix Color Essentials Gems to the background. I added another sentiment from the Fair Winds Sentiments Clear Stamp and Die Set. Sail Into Summer with the Fair Winds Collection by Dawn Woleslagle, S2-400 My final project features the Oh, Buoy! Etched Dies. The logs and ropes add texture to the scene along with dies to add the details fo the seagulls, buoys, and life preserver. Sail Into Summer with the Fair Winds Collection by Dawn Woleslagle, S2-400 On this card, I created my scene inside the circle. I cut a piece of Cosmic Sky Cardstock to fit the card front. Then I die cut a circle in the center of the card and embossed it with the Cast Away 3D Embossing Folder. Then added two sentiments from the Fair Winds Sentiments Clear Stamp and Die Set.

I fell in love with Fair Winds as soon as I saw it and ordered the entire collection, especially for masculine cards. I love stencil set for easy backgrounds too. Dawn is a talented artist and I was excited to see she teamed up with Spellbinders. Can’t wait to try the dies in my new Spellbinders Scout!
