Hi there, crafty friends! I’m Rebecca Keppel, and spooky season is the next big celebration this year! The Boo Crew Etched Dies from Spellbinders Spooktacular Collection by Simon Hurley is a fun die set that creates the cutest ghosts for a card with lots of spooky fun!
Aren’t these the cutest ghosts ever? It’s so much fun to accessorize them, and the possibilities are endless depending on colors of cardstock and specialty cardstocks that you can use with them!

- Die-cut each ghost from white cardstock. There is a die that cuts out shapes to use behind the ghost's face to fill in their eyes and mouths. There are die sets for arms and lots of accessories, too.
- Cut the shape for behind the ghost face from Raven Cardstock. There is a layer for the ghost that acts as a shadow. Cut that out of Fog Cardstock so it is just a touch darker than the white cardstock.
- Use liquid adhesive to adhere the eyes and mouth, shadow, and add drops of adhesive on the ghost's cheek. Each group of accessories also has check dies, so cut those out of Blush Cardstock. Cut the wire frame glasses out of Gold Mirror Metallic Cardstock. Cut the bow tie out of Tutu Cardstock and use it as a hair bow.
- Put the other two ghosts together in the same way.
- Die-cut the other accessories. There are hats, a pumpkin treat bucket, and a tie. Cut them and the sentiment words, and shadow dies out of Halloween colored cardstocks. Onyx Glitter Metallic Cardstock adds a special touch.
- Use small amounts of liquid adhesive to adhere the word die cuts to their shadows. The top hat has three layers- one for the hat, one for a satin trim, and one for the brim. Adhere those together with the same liquid adhesive.
- Add the tie to one ghost and the top hat and monocle to the other. The third ghost can carry the treat bucket once you’ve attached the arms behind the ghost's body.
- For the background, grab a piece of Anchor Cardstock, Opaque Black Foil, and the Falling Stars BetterPress Plate. Using scissors, trim the foil to slightly larger than the A2 cardstock.
- Once the Glimmer Platform is warmed up, place the BetterPress plate onto the platform and press the timer button.
- Once the timer light stops blinking, place the foil with the color side down onto the BetterPress plate.
- Place the cardstock down on the foil and plate.
- Place the Glimmer Shims on top and remove the platform sandwich from the dock.
- Run it all through the Platinum 6 Machine.
- Peel off the foil to reveal the starry design.
- Cut an A2 piece of Raven Cardstock and a 4x5.25” piece of Peridot Cardstock. Cut the foiled panel down to 3.75x5.0” and adhere all three pieces together with Tape Runner.
- Use Foam Squares to add the ghosts to the background and place them so they look like they are flying around the card.
- Use Detail Scissors to cut Black Foam Squares into three strips and use them behind the sentiments.
- Add the sentiments to the card. Since each word is separate, you can place them in a couple of places around the ghosts.

yes, you can sign up on the product page to be notified once it is restocked. Temu and AliExpress sell counterfeit products, these are not original Spellbinders dies.
Will this set be restocked? All the usual sites are out of them. Only Temu and AliExpress seem to have them in stock.
