The Stylish Ovals Collection With Brenda Noelke

Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda Noelke here from My PaperCut Creations! I’m super excited to be a guest on the Spellbinders blog again today! I’m sharing three cards using the Stylish Ovals Collection!! There is something for everyone in this collection...stamps, dies, embossing folders, foil stamping, and stitching dies!! It’s AMAZING!

THINKING OF YOU CARD

I began by stamping the image and sentiment from the Stylish Oval Birthday Wishes Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored it with Copic markers and die-cut it with a die from the Essential Stylish Ovals Etched Dies. I also die-cut Fruit Punch cardstock with the next largest die in the same die set and adhered the two together.

For the background, I die-cut a panel of Pink Sand cardstock with the largest die in the A-2 Matting Basics A Die Set and embossed it with the stunning Beautiful Butterflies 3D Embossing Folder. It was adhered to an A2 panel of Fruit Punch cardstock, then to a white card base. I added dots to the centers of the flowers with a yellow gel pen and this one was finished.

THANKS CARD

The Beautiful Butterflies 3D Embossing Folder is so incredibly beautiful that I had to create a card that let it shine!

I die-cut Lagoon cardstock with the largest die in the A-2 Matting Basics A Die Set, embossed it with the Beautiful Butterflies 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to an A2 white card base.

Next, I foiled the sentiment from the Stylish Oval Thanks Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set and the Fluttering By Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set onto Glimmer Cardstock with soft gold foil from the Satin Metallics Variety Pack. I used the dies included in the set to cut them out. The sentiment was popped up with foam adhesive and the butterflies were adhered along the centers of the die-cuts. A trio of Fashion Oyster Pearl Dots were added to each butterfly to finish it off.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARD

My third card is a birthday card and might be my favorite.

For this one, I die-cut the Stitched Floral Flip Frame Etched Dies from Waterfall, Pink Sand and Chamomile cardstock. I added a bit of ink to the die-cuts, then used the iridescent thread from the Essential Metallics Diamant Metallic Thread Bundle to stitch the die-cuts, then adhered them together.

The background was die-cut from Lagoon cardstock using the Infinity Punch & Pierce Plate Etched Die Set. It was adhered to an A2 panel of Lagoon cardstock, then to a white card base. The stitched die-cuts were adhered with liquid glue. The sentiment is from the Fill My Heart Sentiments Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto Lagoon cardstock, trimmed into a narrow strip and popped up with foam adhesive. Lastly, Fashion Oyster Pearl Dots were added to the centers of the flowers.

HELLO CARD

Well, maybe this one is my favorite...I can’t choose! Lol!

The Stylish Ovals Collection With Brenda Noelke

I began by die-cutting the Stylish Oval Hello You Etched Dies from Pink Sand, Fruit Punch, Chamomile, Blue Spruce and Lagoon cardstock. I added shading to the centers of the flower die-cuts with ink, then adhered them all together.

The background was die-cut from Waterfall cardstock using the Infinity Punch & Pierce Plate Etched Die Set again. I just love all the detail in this die set!! I adhered it to another panel of Waterfall cardstock, then to an A2 white card base. The sentiment was die-cut three times from Fruit Punch cardstock using dies included in the Stylish Oval Hello You Etched Die Set. They were stacked and adhered together, then adhered to the background with liquid glue, along with the floral stem.
